One + Two = A family of 4 :)

Chris and I knew when we found out we were pregnant with #2 that life was going to change again. The first month with two babies: William (14 mths) and Tori who was just new, was hard. I did have an AMAZING amount of help from our family and I truly don't know how I could've done it without them. Here is a glimpse of our sweet babies.
You know, this year has already taught me so many things. Thing 1: Be grateful for what I have while I have it. Thing 2: Children are the greatest blessing I could ever have been given. Thing 3: My husband being a daddy makes my heart beam. Thing 4: I never knew I could love a human being more. Thing 5: I'm a better teacher because I'm a mom. Thing 6: I chose well when I decided to get married. Thing 7: Friends and family truly are the people we hold close to when the world around us seems so unstable. Thing 8: Roots are important. Thing 9: Family is a big deal. Thing 10: God answers prayer.

And so I will pray. For my Friends, my Family, my people I don't like all that much, and the many things that cross my mind throughout the day.

New Year

It's the new year and we find ourselves in 2011 preparing for Sprout's arrival. He/She is due to come in early February. Chris has been nesting....ok, fine, its me that's been nesting and wanting to move and change and make things look different :) But, the good news in that is the house is getting ready for our sweet baby to come. I start my weekly appointments this week to keep checking on the baby and that makes me feel like things are fast approaching.

William is so excited to meet his new sibling. The other day I patted my belly and said, "Baby" and he mimicked me by patting my belly and saying Ba-ba. It won't be as cute for him to do that after the baby comes :) HA! William learned to walk on his birthday and now just takes off everywhere. This makes him more curious about things like cupboards, door handles, the gas cooking range, and maneuvering stairs. He is also acquiring language and says many one syllable words and sometimes tries to say 2 syllable words.

Chris is working in outreach and has really grown and developed over these past years. We have really loved and connected with our church family here. I am working as a SPED teacher and I LOVE my job.

We are looking forward to 2011 and what journey our lives will take.
